ever thought why you're in church?
what draws u the most?
is it the right reason?
what keeps you attending church faithfully?
is it just a routine?
a natural activity in life?

one day
mor and i were talking about the difficulties we faced
when attempting to invite friends to church
i said that they simply didnt want to come
replying that it was far
they were busy and stuff
and when they asked about the programme
i only emphasised on the games played at the end of YP

something mor shared struck me
she said that the most interesting thing she would emphasise on
is bible study
she told them that they were gna be able to learn more about God
"can learn more about God leh!"
it was like something cool

i questioned her on what i can possible say to arouse their interest
"tell them: there is bible study leh; like that meh?!"
she replied wide-eyed
"yah! i tell my friends that leh"

ive been thinking it through
maybe i had too little faith
too little faith in God
that his word will be able to touch hearts
that people will possibly be keen to learn more about Him
that His hand will be in the matter if i prayed
i just did not trust in Him enough

or maybe it was that i myself didnt find bible study interesting!
how shameful it had been
i repent.
and now in my invitation to friends
i will change my attitude,
lose my doubts
and solely depend on God
ill just do my part and let God do the rest
for without God, i cant
but without me, God wont

still the question lingers on:
what do we go to church for?
