being faithful.
sounds easy enough,
like being faithful
in celebrating christmas every year
or in attending countdown party each year

after living sixteen years
ive come to know many more things exist
my world gets bigger each day.

there are parties to welcome the new year
well organised christmas parties of the year
surprise bday parties to crack ur mind with
among these,
something never fails
the presence of certain days of significance

when i was younger, i never really counted each year
each year just conveniently flowed to the next
31dec and 1 jan were just any other consecutive days
when i came to know ppl do welcome the new year
it was smth new.

yet only after a few years,
im sick of it
every year its
the same celebration
the same day
the same time
the same stuffs
the same place

after living fifty years of my life
will i still look forward to each year?
let alone each day
faith's the word.

thats no wonder people find things to do,
goals to reach
and get so engrossed to achieve them.
after u reach the goal
then what?
will you keep putting yourself to the challenge
and build yourself a towel of babel

why would people put career above all?
dont they see how fragile material desires are
what with all the crisis
how about family?
how about love?

despite having to look down at the same old stubborn people below
God still stays faithful.
In our world,
passions fade
desires dry up
love becomes shallow
