you know, when you think someone is sad

ask "are you okay?"

its really powerful and heartwarming

but ask it with a straight face

not the face that is alr convinced the person's not okay

i hate it when people go

"its okay you've done your best right? no regrets!"

like u are doubtful i did my best

worse still if im happy with my race, i sense your disappointment in me.

worst yet?

"i know you are sad. just tell me about it"

why should i bother

i dont need your pity

thanks to all who have gave me support anyhow

had to give a captain speech again just like aft crosscountry ended

i heard an orchestra of sniffs again

and feel happy to have moved others with the meaningful-ness of my track life

and again,

Ive learnt to persevere,

ive learnt to strive.

Ive learnt to fight hard

and never to cry,

to hold my head up high

and be the champion i deserve to be.

We've worked together,

sweat together

and pushed eachother towards a common goal

to strive for what we have achieved.

The greatest victory for me, is to have found a family.
