she sees only half of the long dusty orange mess ahead as her eyelids are only half way up, drooping
pleading not to be forced upwards
fighting to close
she sways, to and fro weak and powerless
as her strength drains
sucked out of her
her visions a blur, spinning like a round-a-bout
she grabs on to something, both hands to save her from collapsing
every ounce of energy seems to be running away, escaping from her
suddenly she throws her head forward, bending
as scarlet liquid defiantly rushes out of her
she is tired, fatique overwhelms her
adds weight to her bones
she had her fair share
decending slowly, her hands sliding
she attempts to fall on her knees
surrendering, giving up
.. all

alas

NO!
a sudden wave grips her from within
quick as lightning
swift as the blink of an eye
silent but almighty
